One comment on your Page post.
Your whole range in Messenger.
Someone comments SHOP on a Facebook Page post and gets a swipeable row of up to 10 product cards in Messenger: a photo, a name, a short line for price or delivery, and up to three buttons on each. Every button is a tracked link, so you see which product people actually opened.
Can a Facebook Page send a product carousel to people who comment?
Yes. Messenger supports a carousel format (Meta calls it the generic template): a horizontal row of up to 10 cards, each with an image, a title, a subtitle and up to three link buttons. A Page can send it as the private reply to a comment, within Meta's rule of one private reply per comment in 7 days. Reachlee builds the cards, sends them on your keyword and counts every tap.
Why a post with several products needs more than one link
Page posts that sell rarely show one thing. A new-arrivals photo has six dresses, a menu post has five dishes, a gift-guide post has eight ideas, and the comments fill with 'how much is the green one?' and 'link for the third?'. One link in the reply sends everyone to a homepage where they hunt for the product again, and many give up. A carousel puts each product on its own card inside Messenger, so the person swipes, sees the photo and the price line, and taps straight through to the right page. You also learn something a single link can never tell you: which product people wanted. Because each button carries its own tracked link, the clicks come back per card. For a Page that posts collections, menus or bundles every week, that turns comment sections into a running read of demand without asking anyone a question.
- Trigger: a keyword such as SHOP, MENU or LIST in a comment on the Page posts you choose, or any comment at all.
- Delivery: the carousel arrives in Messenger as the private reply, or right after the person shares an email or phone number if you ask first.
- Feedback: clicks are counted per button, so the product people actually want shows up in the numbers, not in guesses.
Building a Messenger carousel in Reachlee.
Start from the Product carousel template
With the Page selected at the top of the sidebar, open Automations, create a new automation and pick Product carousel. It starts with the keyword SHOP and a public reply under the comment, both of which you can change.
Fill in the cards
Add up to 10 cards. Each gets an image, a product name, a subtitle line that most sellers use for price, sizes or delivery, and up to three buttons with your links. Drag the cards into order and put the product you most want to sell first, because the first card is what people see before they swipe.
Choose the posts, the keyword and any ask-first step
Pick one Page post, several posts or any post, then set the keywords. To grow your list at the same time, switch on an email or phone question; the person then gets a short message with a button first and the carousel the moment they reply.
Go live, then read the taps
Press Go Live. The phone preview shows the carousel as it will look in Messenger before anything sends. Once comments come in, the automation's stats show clicks per button, and Retrigger can send the carousel to people who commented before you set it up.
Details that decide whether the cards get tapped.
Ten cards, three buttons each
That is Meta's ceiling for the format, and Reachlee holds every carousel to it before sending, so Meta never rejects the whole message over an extra card. Titles and subtitles are capped at 80 characters and button labels at 20, Meta's own limits, so short product names and price lines arrive exactly as written.
The whole card is a button
Plenty of people tap the photo instead of the button underneath it. Reachlee sends every card with the first button's tracked link as the card's own destination, so a tap on the image lands on the same product page and is counted the same way.
Clicks per product, not per message
Each button gets its own tracked short link. Instead of one total for the message, you see which card and which button people opened, per automation. That is how you learn the green dress beat the black one before the restock order goes in.
Ask for an email or phone first
On a Page you can put an email or phone question in front of the products. Reachlee checks that the reply looks like an email or a number, asks again politely if it doesn't, saves the lead, and then sends the carousel. Leads land in Contacts, and on Business in your Google Sheet.
A public reply under the comment
The template replies under the comment with a short line such as 'Sent you the full list', rotating between your variations. Other people reading the post see the Page answering, which tends to bring in more comments, and the carousel itself stays private.
A reminder that keeps the products
Add a follow-up and choose to re-send the link: for a carousel automation Reachlee picks up to three of the cards' links, in card order, so the reminder points back at your first products instead of arriving empty.
Pages where a carousel does the selling.
A boutique's new-arrivals post
Twelve photos of the new collection, sixty comments asking for prices and sizes, and a reply thread that says 'check inbox' forty times while the actual messages go out hours later.
Comment NEW and the first ten pieces arrive as cards with the price and sizes on the subtitle line and a Buy button each. The click counts show which three pieces to reorder by Monday.
A home kitchen's weekly menu
Every Monday the menu goes up as one image and people message to ask what each dish costs, whether it is vegetarian, and how to order.
Comment MENU and each dish arrives as a card: photo, price and a short note on the subtitle line, and an Order button that opens the order form or the chat link the kitchen already uses.
Three packages, one decision
A photography studio posts its three wedding packages. Commenters ask which one includes the album, and the owner retypes the same comparison all evening.
Comment PACKAGES and three cards arrive, one per package, each with Details and Book a call buttons. The studio sees which package gets opened most and leads its next post with it.

Get startedMessenger product carousels: what sellers ask.
How many products fit in one Messenger carousel?
Up to 10 cards, each with an image, a title, a subtitle and up to three buttons. Those are Meta's limits for the format, not Reachlee's. Titles and subtitles are capped at 80 characters and button labels at 20, so write them short: product name in the title, price and sizes in the subtitle. If you sell more than ten items, use the cards for your best sellers and point the last card's button at the full catalogue.
Can the carousel be the first thing someone gets after commenting?
Yes. By default the carousel is the private reply itself, so it arrives in Messenger seconds after the comment. Meta allows one private reply per comment, which makes it worth sending the products straight away. If you'd rather collect an email or phone number first, switch that on and the first message becomes a short question with a button, followed by the carousel once they answer.
Will I know which product people clicked?
Yes. Every button on every card is its own tracked link, and a tap on a card's image counts toward that card's first button. The automation's stats show the clicks per button, so you can see that the second card out-clicked the first and move it to the front. That ordering decision is usually worth more than any copy change.
Does Reachlee take payments inside Messenger?
No. The buttons open links: your shop, a checkout page, a booking page, an order form or any URL you choose. Payment happens wherever that link goes, the same as when someone finds the product on your website. Reachlee's job is to get the right product in front of the person who asked, with the click counted.
Can I ask people to like or follow the Page before showing the products?
Not on Facebook. Meta gives Pages no way to check whether a person likes or follows them, so the follow step that exists for Instagram is hidden for Pages. What you can ask for on a Page is an email address or a phone number before the carousel, which tends to be the more useful thing to collect anyway.
Can I send the carousel to people who commented before I set it up?
Yes, within Meta's 7-day window. Once the automation is live, Retrigger runs it over the comments already on the post, skips anyone who has been messaged, and sends at a safe pace. Comments older than 7 days can't receive a private reply from any tool.
Is it on the Free plan, and does it work on Instagram?
Facebook Pages start on Pro ($9/mo), so Page carousels need Pro or above. Instagram has the same Product carousel automation, with an extra option to ask for a follow first, and both channels run from one Reachlee workspace with the same click tracking.
