One comment. Your whole
product catalogue, in a DM.
Someone comments SHOP on your post or Reel — and gets a swipeable row of up to 10 product cards in a single Instagram DM. Photo, price, buttons with your links. Every tap tracked per product, so you finally know what people actually want to buy.
What is a product carousel DM?
A product carousel DM is a single Instagram Direct Message that contains a horizontal, swipeable row of product cards — the same card format Instagram itself uses for shopping messages. Each card shows a photo, a product name, a subtitle line (most sellers use it for price or shipping info), and up to three buttons that link wherever you want: your store, an affiliate link, a checkout page, a Gumroad product. Instead of pasting one link and hoping people find the right item on your site, you put the whole shelf in their inbox. With Reachlee, the carousel sends automatically when someone comments a keyword like SHOP on your post or Reel — no typing, no link-in-bio scavenger hunt, no lost sales while you sleep.
- Trigger: someone comments your keyword (like "SHOP" or "LINKS") on a specific post, a Reel, or any post you choose.
- Action: Reachlee DMs them a swipeable carousel of up to 10 product cards — each with a photo, name, price line, and up to 3 link buttons. Tapping the card itself opens the first button's link.
- Result: buyers browse your catalogue inside the DM, tap the product they want, and you see exactly which product converted — per card, per button, per post.
From empty automation to live shop in minutes.
Create the automation and add your products
In Reachlee, create a new automation and choose the product carousel action. Add up to 10 cards: upload a photo, name the product, write a subtitle line (price, shipping, "only 20 left" — your call), and attach up to 3 buttons with links. Drag cards to reorder them — the first card is what people see before they swipe, so lead with your best seller.
Pick a post and a keyword
Choose the post or Reel that should trigger the carousel — or set it on any post so future content inherits it. Then pick the keyword buyers will comment, like "SHOP", "DROP", or "PRICES". Optionally switch on an ask-first step: require a follow, or ask for an email or phone number, before the products are sent.
Go live and watch per-product clicks
Hit publish. Every comment matching your keyword fires the carousel within seconds. Because every button is a tracked link, your dashboard shows which product got tapped — not just a total. When card 3 out-clicks card 1, drag it to the front and let the data run the shelf.
A storefront that fits inside one DM.
Everything below ships with the product carousel on the Pro plan — $9/mo, flat.
Up to 10 product cards per DM
One swipeable message holds your whole drop: 10 cards, each with a photo, name, a subtitle line for price or shipping, and up to 3 buttons. Tapping the card image itself opens the first button's link, so even people who never notice buttons still land on your product page.
Per-product click tracking
Every button on every card is a tracked link. You don't get a mushy "47 clicks" total — you see that the hoodie got 31 taps, the cap got 12, and the tote got 4. That's real demand data from real buyers, per post, per product, without a single survey.
10 cards, one DM against your cap
A full 10-card carousel counts as one DM against your monthly message limit — not ten. Sending your whole catalogue costs exactly the same as sending a one-line text message, so there's no reason to hold back cards.
Drag to reorder — lead with your winner
Card order is drag-and-drop. The first card is what recipients see before they swipe, so it does most of the selling. When the click data tells you a different product is the crowd favourite, drag it to position one in seconds — no rebuilding the automation.
Ask-first gates: follow, email, or phone
Turn the product drop into list growth. Before the carousel sends, Reachlee can require the commenter to follow you, or ask for their email or phone number. They comment SHOP, they hand over their email, they get the products — and you own the relationship after Instagram's algorithm moves on.
Works on posts and Reels
Reel comments and post comments trigger the exact same carousel. Pin "comment SHOP for everything in this video" under a Reel and let it sell for weeks. Pro also unlocks any-post triggers, so every future post carries your shop automatically.
Three sellers, one keyword each.
Affiliate creator with a lineup of offers
You promote four products in one video, but your bio holds one link. People comment "which serum??" and you paste affiliate links one by one until the comments outrun you. You have no idea which offer actually earns.
One keyword — "LINKS" — sends a carousel with a card per offer, each button carrying your affiliate link. Per-product click tracking shows the serum out-taps the moisturiser 5-to-1, so you know exactly which brand deal to renew and which video to make next.
Boutique on drop day
New collection goes live, the launch post blows up, and your DMs flood with "price?", "link for the green one?", "do you ship to Canada?". You answer for hours and still miss buyers who gave up and scrolled on.
The launch post says "comment SHOP". Every commenter instantly gets the full collection as a swipeable carousel — photo, price and shipping on each card, buy button straight to checkout. You watch orders come in instead of copy-pasting links, and the click data tells you what to restock first.
Digital product seller with a bundle
You sell presets, a template pack, and a mini-course, but every post can only really push one of them. Cross-selling means walls of links in your captions that Instagram buries anyway.
Every post ends with "comment BUNDLE". The carousel shows all three products as cards — presets first, course last — each linking to its own checkout. One keyword upsells your entire shelf on autopilot, and an email-first gate quietly builds your launch list at the same time.
Product carousels are on Pro — $9/mo, flat.
The product carousel is a Pro feature: $9/month gets you carousels with per-product click tracking, 3 Instagram accounts, unlimited DMs, follow and email gates, and any-post triggers. Not ready to pay? The free plan gives you 1 Instagram account and 1,000 DMs/month for other automations like comment-to-DM — no credit card. Upgrade the day you have something to sell.

Do Instagram DM carousels show up on desktop?
Not as cards — and this is an Instagram limitation, not a Reachlee one. Instagram only renders swipeable carousel cards in the mobile app (iOS and Android). If your recipient opens the DM on instagram.com in a desktop browser, they'll see a fallback rendering instead of the card row. Every tool that sends carousels through Meta's API has this same behaviour, because it's how Instagram displays the format. In practice it rarely matters: people who comment on your post or Reel are almost always on their phone, so they see the full swipeable carousel. But if you're testing your own automation from a desktop browser and the cards look wrong, check it on your phone first — that's what your buyers see.
How many products can I put in one Instagram DM carousel?
Up to 10 product cards in a single DM. Each card holds a photo, a product name, a subtitle line — most sellers use it for the price or a shipping note — and up to 3 buttons, each with its own link. Tapping the card image itself opens the first button's link. Ten cards is Instagram's ceiling for the carousel format, and honestly it's plenty: a focused shelf of your best 5-8 products usually out-converts a cluttered one. If you sell more than 10 items, lead with bestsellers and give the last card a "See everything" button to your full store.
Can I see which product someone tapped, not just total clicks?
Yes — that's the point. Every button on every card in a Reachlee carousel is a tracked link, so your dashboard breaks clicks down per product, not just per message. You'll see that 31 people tapped the hoodie and only 4 tapped the tote, from which post, over what time period. That per-product signal is the closest thing Instagram gives you to free market research: it tells you what to restock, which affiliate deal to renew, and which card to drag into the first position. Most tools only show you a total; a total can't run your shelf.
Can I ask for a follow or an email before sending the products?
Yes. Reachlee has optional ask-first add-ons that run before the carousel is delivered. You can require the commenter to follow your account, or ask them to share an email address or phone number — and only then send the product cards. It turns a product drop into audience growth: the same keyword that sells your catalogue also builds a contact list you own, outside Instagram's algorithm. Both gates are optional and per-automation, so you can gate the free lead magnet behind an email while leaving the paid product drop friction-free. Captured emails and phone numbers land in your Reachlee contacts.
Does the product carousel work on Reels?
Yes. Reel comments trigger the carousel exactly like post comments — same keyword matching, same swipeable cards, same speed. Reels are actually where carousels earn the most, because a Reel keeps pulling comments for days or weeks after you post it. Pin a comment like "comment SHOP for everything in this video" and every new commenter gets your full product lineup automatically, whether they find the Reel an hour or a month after you published it. On the Pro plan you can also set any-post triggers, so every future Reel inherits the automation without any setup.
Will Instagram flag or ban my account for sending product carousels?
No — as long as you send them the compliant way. Reachlee is built on Meta's official Instagram API and is a Meta-verified Tech Provider; the product carousel uses Instagram's own native card format, delivered through the same infrastructure Instagram sanctions for business messaging. We only message people who commented your keyword first — never cold outreach — and we respect Instagram's messaging rules and rate limits automatically. That's the opposite of the risky stuff (browser bots, scraping, mass unsolicited DMs) that gets accounts restricted. Replying to someone who just asked to see your products is exactly what the API exists for.
How is a carousel counted against my monthly DM limit?
A full carousel counts as one DM — even with all 10 cards filled. Reachlee meters messages, not cards, so sending your entire catalogue costs the same against your monthly limit as sending a single line of text. That makes the carousel the most efficient message in your toolkit: one send, ten products, per-product click data back. On the Pro plan ($9/mo) DMs are unlimited anyway, so the counting question only really matters if you're budgeting sends across multiple automations — and either way, there's no penalty for using every card slot.
