3It never messages first, never invents a client's price, and stays out of any thread a human on your team replied to in the last 48 hours.

What Instagram AI automation for agencies actually means

Instagram AI automation for agencies means one workspace answering the inbound DMs of every client account — price, hours, stock, booking — from that client's own knowledge, not a shared script. On Reachlee's Business plan, up to 10 Instagram accounts share 2,500 AI credits a month, each with separate knowledge, brand voice and goals, and every reply is logged per account so an account manager can review it before the client asks.

What's inside

Know what is per account and what is shared

The split matters more for an agency than for anyone else. Here is exactly where the lines are.

01

Knowledge — per Instagram account

The salon client's price list, the restaurant client's menu and the realtor client's listings live in separate knowledge sets. A reply on one account is generated only from that account's sources and allowed links. Nothing crosses over.

02

Behavior — per Instagram account

Each account gets its own AI role, brand voice paragraph, guardrails and language setting. The boutique can be warm and brief; the law firm can be formal and never give advice.

03

Goals — per Instagram account

Share a link for the clinic's booking page, capture a phone number for the realtor, grow followers for the creator client. Up to three live goals per account, each measured by clicks, captured contacts or follows within 7 days — not by the AI's own claims.

04

Activity feed — per Instagram account

Every AI reply is a row: the message it answered, what it sent, the intent it detected, the goal it followed, and a jump-to-thread link. This is what you show the client when they ask what the AI has been saying.

05

Credits — pooled across the workspace

2,500 credits a month on Business, shared by all ten accounts. One credit per AI reply or comment sent; classifications that end in a skip, and failed sends, cost nothing. When the pool is used up the AI pauses until the reset date — no surprise overage.

06

Seats — five per workspace

Account managers work the shared Inbox, reply manually, mute threads and review the Activity feed. The workspace owner keeps billing, invites and integrations. No per-seat pricing.

How it works

Onboard a client account in an afternoon

01

Connect the client's Instagram to your workspace

The client signs in with their own Business or Creator account through one-click OAuth. No password shared, no Facebook Page required. Business holds up to 10 connected accounts.

02

Build that account's knowledge

Scan the client's website, paste the price list, hours, policies and FAQ as text, and — if the client agrees — run the short interview so the AI has their tone and their "never say this" list. Sources from your other clients are never used.

03

Set behavior and one goal

Write the role in one line, generate and edit the brand voice, check the guardrails, choose language matching or a fixed language. Then pick the goal that matches the client's business: a tracked booking link, a phone-number capture or follower growth.

04

Switch on AI Replies and, where it fits, AI Comments

Replies handle inbound DMs. Comments answer substantive comments on the last seven days of posts in under 150 characters, 2–20 minutes later, never with a link in public. Any keyword automation you built for that client fires first; the AI stays silent on the same message.

05

Review the Activity feed weekly

Read the receipts per account, mute the threads a client wants to own, and add knowledge wherever the AI said the team will get back to you.

Real scenarios

Before and after, across a client roster

Six clients, one Sunday night

Before

A salon, two restaurants, a gym, a boutique and a realtor all post on Saturday. By Sunday night there are 140 unanswered DMs across six inboxes asking price, hours and "is this available?".

With Reachlee

Each DM is answered from its own client's knowledge within the minute: the salon's prices, the restaurant's timings, the boutique's stock line. Monday morning is a scan of six Activity feeds and personal replies to the handful that turned into real conversations.

The client who wants a human on every lead

Before

One client insists nothing automated touches a hot lead. You either exclude them from the tool entirely or hope nobody notices.

With Reachlee

Leave that account on AI Comments and knowledge-only DM answers, mute any thread the client wants to own, and let the 48-hour takeover rule do the rest: the moment anyone on your team replies, the AI is out of that thread.

Month-end reporting

Before

Screenshots of DM threads pasted into a slide deck, with a guess at how many turned into bookings.

With Reachlee

Per-account goal receipts: attempted versus successful, where successful means a real click on the tracked link, a phone number landed on the contact, or a follow within seven days. Numbers you can defend because the product measured them, not the AI.

What's inside

What the AI won't do on a client account

The limits are the product. Every one of these is enforced in code, not in a prompt an account manager has to trust.

01

Invent a client's price, hours or link

Replies come from that account's knowledge and allowed-links list only. If a question is outside what you added, the AI says the team will follow up rather than guessing.

02

Message a client's followers first

It replies only to inbound DMs, inside Meta's 24-hour messaging window, on the official Instagram API. No cold outreach, no re-engagement blasts, on any account.

03

Mix one client's knowledge into another's replies

Knowledge, behavior and goals are scoped to the Instagram account. The gym's membership prices cannot appear in the boutique's DMs.

04

Talk over your team

A manual reply from anyone in the workspace keeps the AI out of that thread for 48 hours. Threads can be muted permanently, and the AI can be paused globally in one switch.

Pricing

Priced per workspace, not per client

Business is $29/mo (₹1,499 in India): 10 Instagram accounts, 2,500 AI credits pooled across them, 5 team seats, everything in Growth. Growth is $14/mo (₹799 in India) with 3 accounts and 1,000 credits if you run a small roster. One credit per AI reply sent; skips and failed sends cost nothing. Free and Pro do not include AI.

FAQ

Agency questions about AI replies

Is it allowed by Meta to run AI replies on client accounts?

Yes, the way Reachlee does it: the client connects their own Business or Creator account through the official Instagram API, the AI replies only to people who messaged that account first, and it stays inside the 24-hour messaging window. What Meta bans are password-based bots and unsolicited messaging. Reachlee never touches a client's password and never sends a first message.

Will it make up a client's price to close a lead?

No. The AI can only state prices, hours and policies that exist in that account's knowledge, and can only send links from that account's allowed list. When a question is outside what you added, it tells the person the team will get back to them. Dull beats a hallucinated discount you have to explain to a client.

Can one client's knowledge leak into another client's replies?

No. Knowledge, behavior and goals are stored and used per Instagram account. A reply on one account is generated only from that account's sources.

How are the 2,500 credits shared?

They are pooled across the workspace. Every AI DM or comment reply sent on any of the ten accounts uses one credit; skips and failed sends are free. The Overview shows usage against the allowance and the reset date. When the pool is used up, the AI pauses until reset — there is no overage billing.

Does it message a client's commenters who never sent a DM?

Only as a private reply to their own comment, which Meta permits. When a comment shows buy or link intent, the AI posts a public "check your DMs" and sends one private message carrying the allowed link. It never messages anyone who has not engaged with that account.

Comment-to-DM automation

What does the client see?

On Instagram, only the replies. In Reachlee, every AI message carries an AI badge in the Inbox and a row in that account's Activity feed — the message it answered, what it sent, the detected intent and any goal. There is no approval queue — replies are full-auto — so the feed is the review surface.

How much does Reachlee AI cost for an agency?

Business is $29/mo (₹1,499 in India) for 10 Instagram accounts, 2,500 AI credits and 5 seats. Growth is $14/mo (₹799 in India) for 3 accounts and 1,000 credits. There is no AI on Free or Pro.
