Menu, timings, reservations —
answered in the DM
Reachlee AI answers "menu?", "open today?", "table for six on Saturday?" from your own menu, hours and location, and sends the reservation or order link — while you run service. $14/mo (₹799 in India).
What an Instagram AI chatbot for restaurants does
An Instagram AI chatbot for restaurants answers the DMs nobody has time for during service — what is on the menu, how much is a dish, are you open today, where exactly are you, is there a veg option, can I book a table — from the restaurant's own menu, hours and location text, then sends the reservation or ordering link. Reachlee AI does this only for inbound messages, on the official Instagram API, inside Meta's 24-hour window.
The five DMs the AI answers for you
The messages that arrive during the dinner rush, and what Reachlee AI sends back when your menu is in knowledge.
"Menu?"
The AI describes the sections and a few signature dishes from your pasted or scanned menu, then sends the full menu as a tracked link — your website, a PDF link or your Zomato page. In a public comment it says "sent it to your DMs" and delivers the link privately.
"Are you open today? Till when?"
It answers from the hours you added, including split shifts, the weekly off and any festival closure you paste in that week. One text edit fixes every reply.
"Where are you? Is there parking?"
It gives the locality, landmark and parking or valet note from your knowledge and sends your Google Maps link as an allowed link. No guessing at directions it was not given.
"Do you have veg / Jain / gluten-free options?"
It answers from your menu notes — which dishes qualify, whether Jain prep is available on request — and stops short of any allergy guarantee you did not write down. Unknown gets "please confirm with the team", not a promise.
"Table for six on Saturday at 8?"
The AI cannot see your reservation book, so it never confirms a table. It sends your reservation link or booking number as a tracked link and mentions any large-party or deposit policy from your knowledge.
Set it up before tonight's service
Connect your restaurant's Instagram
One-click OAuth with your Business account. No Facebook Page needed, no password shared. Multi-outlet groups on Business connect up to 10 accounts, each with its own menu and hours.
Paste your menu, hours and location as knowledge
Add your website or menu page for a scan, then paste the menu with prices, opening hours, address with landmark, parking, and your reservation, delivery and Maps links.
Switch on AI Replies and AI Comments
Replies handle inbound DMs. Comments answer substantive questions under the last seven days of food posts — under 150 characters, 2–20 minutes later, never a link in public.
Set a Share-link goal to your menu or reservation page
The recommended goal for restaurants. Any DM with dining intent ends with one tracked link — menu, reservation or delivery. The goal counts a success only when the guest clicks.
A week of service, before and after
Friday dinner rush
Between 7pm and 10pm, thirty DMs ask if you have a table, what the menu is and where to park. Nobody checks the phone until close. Half of them ate somewhere else.
Each guest gets the menu link, the parking note and the reservation link within the minute. The kitchen never hears a phone buzz. In the morning, the Activity feed shows every reply and the clicks on each link.
The Reel that finally travels
Your dessert Reel gets 400 comments: "price?", "which branch?", "is this veg?". You answer the first twenty. The rest look unanswered forever.
Substantive comments get a short public reply within 20 minutes; "how do I order?" gets a public "check your DMs" and a private DM with the ordering link. Emoji and tag-a-friend comments are skipped, free.
The festival closure
You close for Diwali. Fifteen people DM "open tonight?" and three turn up to a dark shopfront because nobody replied.
You paste a one-line closure note into knowledge on Monday. Every "open?" DM that week gets the closure dates and the reopening day. Delete the line when you are back.
What the AI won't do
Each limit is a rule in code, not a line in a prompt.
Invent a dish, a price or a free table
Replies use only your pasted menu, hours and allowed links. It never confirms a reservation, quotes a price it was not given, or promises an allergen-free dish you did not list.
Message a guest first
It only answers inbound DMs and comments, inside Meta's 24-hour messaging window, on the official Instagram API. No promo blasts, no DMs to people who liked a photo.
Talk over your front-of-house
One manual reply from anyone on the account and the AI stays out of that thread for 48 hours. Mute a thread permanently for a regular, or pause the AI globally on a private-event night.
Reply to spam or noise
Emoji-only, tag-a-friend, spam and negative comments are skipped and cost nothing. A complaint about last night's order is a support issue: answered from your policy, with no sales push attached.
Priced like a small business tool, because it is one
Growth is $14/mo (₹799 in India): 1,000 AI credits, 3 Instagram accounts, everything in Pro. Business is $29/mo (₹1,499 in India): 2,500 credits, 10 accounts and 5 team seats for restaurant groups. One credit per AI reply sent; skips and failed sends are free. Free and Pro have no AI.
Start freeRestaurant questions about AI replies
Is AI auto-reply allowed on a restaurant's Instagram account?
Yes, done this way. Reachlee AI uses the official Instagram API, replies only to guests who messaged or commented first, and stays inside Meta's 24-hour messaging window. Accounts get restricted for password-based bots that follow and DM strangers; Reachlee never touches your password and never sends a first message.
Will it make up a dish or confirm a table we don't have?
No. It quotes only the menu, prices and hours you gave it and sends only links you approved. It cannot see your reservation book, so it sends the reservation link instead of confirming a time. Questions it cannot answer get "please confirm with the team".
Can it take the order or the reservation itself?
It sends your ordering or reservation link as a tracked short link and records the click. Orders and bookings still happen on your website, Zomato, Swiggy, Dineout or over the phone — whichever links you added. It does not process payments.
We get the same five questions every day. Do I still need keyword automations?
Keep them if you have them — they always win. If a comment matches your "MENU" automation, that fires and the AI stays silent on that comment. The AI picks up the long-tail questions your keywords miss, like "do you do Jain?" or "is the rooftop open in monsoon?".
Does it reply in Hindi, Marathi or Hinglish?
Yes. Language matching is on by default, so a Hinglish "bhai menu bhejo" gets a Hinglish answer, across Hindi, regional languages and 20+ others. Pin one language in Behavior if your brand voice needs it.
How do I check what it told guests?
The Activity feed lists every reply with the message it answered, what it sent, the classifier label and the goal used. In the Inbox, AI messages carry a badge and threads the AI touched can be filtered. Nothing is hidden.
How much does Reachlee AI cost for a restaurant?
Growth is $14/mo (₹799 in India) with 1,000 AI credits — one credit per reply actually sent. Business is $29/mo (₹1,499 in India) with 2,500 credits and 10 accounts for groups with several outlets. When credits run out the AI pauses; there is no overage bill.
