Run your DM automation
from Claude or ChatGPT.
Reachlee's MCP server lets an AI assistant work with your Instagram and Facebook automation: rank reels by click rate, set up a comment-to-DM, pause it, retrigger past commenters or reply inside an open conversation once you confirm. Sign in with OAuth, no API keys, on every plan.
Is there an MCP server for Instagram DM automation?
Yes. Reachlee runs a remote MCP server for its Instagram and Facebook DM automation. Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in can connect, including Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Gemini CLI. It reads your analytics, automations, conversations and leads, and it can create, change, pause and retrigger automations or reply in an open conversation after you confirm. It never messages anyone who hasn't written to you first.
What MCP adds to DM automation
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to connect to outside tools. One server works in every assistant that supports it, with the same sign-in, which is why Reachlee's connector behaves the same in Claude, ChatGPT and a terminal. For DM automation that means two things. First, questions the dashboard can't answer on one screen: which of your accounts, and which reels, turned the most people into link clicks this month, or which client has unanswered DMs right now. Every read tool spans all the accounts you can open in Reachlee by default. Second, changes by sentence: "put a GUIDE comment-to-DM on my latest reel with this link and a public reply" becomes a live automation, with a link back to it in Reachlee. You grant permissions at sign-in, and a connection without a permission simply can't use the tools that need it.
- Read: analytics, automations, conversations and leads across the accounts you can see.
- Manage automations: create, edit, pause, resume and retrigger automations.
- Reply in conversations: send replies inside open conversations, only after confirming with you.
Connect it in about a minute
Add the server URL
Claude (desktop or claude.ai, on Claude's paid plans): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. ChatGPT: Settings → Plugins → Browse plugins, then + → Create custom MCP server with OAuth authentication, until Reachlee is listed in ChatGPT's directory. Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http reachlee https://www.reachlee.co/api/v1/mcp. Cursor and Gemini CLI take the same URL over HTTP.
Sign in and click Allow
The first time the assistant needs your data, a Reachlee page opens in your browser. Sign in with the Google account you use for Reachlee. The page shows which app is asking and exactly what it may do. Click Allow, the tab closes, and the assistant carries on. You never create or paste a key.
Ask in plain language
"Which of my reels had the best click rate this month?" "Pause the GUIDE automation while I update the page." "Who asked about pricing in the last 24 hours?" The assistant picks the tools; with several accounts, name one ("on @yourbrand") or let it list them first.
See and revoke access in Reachlee
Settings → AI apps lists each connected app with when it was connected, when it was last used and how many calls it made. Disconnect revokes it immediately; the assistant's next call fails and it will ask you to connect again.
What your assistant can do through Reachlee
Fourteen tools in four groups. You never call them by name; knowing they exist helps you ask for the right thing.
Analytics across every account
get_overview gives DMs sent, comments replied, link clicks, reply rate and follower change for a range. rank_posts ranks posts and reels by click rate, DMs, clicks, people or comments; rank_automations adds triggers, skips and the most common skip reason. Click rate means unique people who clicked divided by unique people who entered the flow.
Automations by sentence
create_automation builds a comment-to-DM on your latest post, a post link, every post or your next post, with keywords, an opening DM with a button, the link and a public reply, live or as a draft. It works on Instagram accounts and on Facebook Page posts; on Instagram it can also ask people to follow before they get the link.
Edit, pause and resume
update_automation changes only the fields you name: keywords, messages, link, public reply, posts or the name. set_automation_status pauses or resumes, and resuming a draft publishes it. Assistants ask before running tools that change something, because Reachlee marks them that way.
Retrigger, with a preview first
"People commented GUIDE for a week before I set this up" is one prompt. retrigger first returns how many past commenters are eligible; nothing is sent until you agree and the assistant calls it again to confirm. Reachlee then paces the sends to stay within Instagram's limits. Retrigger is a Pro feature.
Read threads, reply inside the window
list_conversations and get_conversation read recent DM threads and say whether the 24-hour reply window is open and until when. reply_to_conversation returns a preview with the recipient, the message and the window's closing time, and sends only on a second call with your confirmation.
Leads on request
list_leads returns contacts who shared an email or phone number, with handle, name, account and last activity, filtered by account or search. For a spreadsheet, export from Contacts in Reachlee or use the Google Sheets integration on Business.

Three prompts that replace a tab-hopping session
The Monday report
You open each account's analytics in turn, copy DMs, clicks and follower change into a doc, and work out which one did best. With several client accounts it eats the first hour of the week.
"Give me a report for the last 7 days across all my accounts: DMs, clicks, reply rate and follower change, and tell me which account did best." One answer, per account, from get_overview. Ask for 30 days or this month to change the window.
The automation that went quiet
Your LINK automation sent almost nothing yesterday. You open it, scroll the run history and try to work out whether it was the keyword, the post or something on Instagram's side.
"My LINK automation sent almost nothing yesterday. Why?" rank_automations returns triggers, skips and the top skip reason, such as a closed messaging window or a follower-only media block, and get_automation adds the 14-day picture.
The reel that took off first
A reel collected a week of GUIDE comments before any automation existed. You build the automation in Reachlee, then open Retrigger to catch up the people who already asked.
"People commented GUIDE on that reel for a week before I set this up. Can we send them the link?" The assistant previews how many are eligible, waits for your yes, then Reachlee sends gradually within Instagram's limits.
The connector is included on every plan.
There's no extra charge for the AI connector, including on Free, and its calls don't use Reachlee AI credits; the thinking is done by the assistant you connect, on its own plan. Tools follow your workspace's plan: on Free, analytics stop at 30 days, and Pro options such as any-post, next-post, several posts in one automation, ask-for-follow and Retrigger return the same message the builder shows. Pro is $9/mo for 3 accounts, unlimited DMs and lifetime analytics.

What can Claude or ChatGPT change in my account?
Only what the 14 tools allow and the permissions you granted. With Manage automations it can create, edit, pause, resume and retrigger automations; with Reply in conversations it can answer inside open threads after showing you a preview. There is no tool to delete anything, change billing or settings, invite people, or message someone who hasn't written to you. Assistants ask before running any tool that changes something, and Retrigger and replies wait for a second, confirmed call.
Do I need an API key?
No. Reachlee uses standard OAuth 2.1 with PKCE: the assistant registers itself, opens Reachlee's sign-in page, and receives a token only after you click Allow. Each token represents you through one app and is stored by Reachlee only as a hash. Access tokens refresh automatically every 30 days, and a connection expires after 180 days without use. Clients that can't open a browser sign-in aren't supported, but every mainstream assistant can.
Does my data go to OpenAI or Anthropic?
Reachlee doesn't send your data to any model provider itself. The assistant you connect receives what you ask for, in the reply to that request, and handles it under its own terms. If that matters for your business, use an assistant plan whose terms exclude training on your data. Your Instagram and Facebook access tokens never leave Reachlee's servers; the assistant only ever talks to Reachlee.
Can it send broadcasts or DM new people?
No. No tool exists for it, and the connector goes through the same send path as the Reachlee app: replies only within 24 hours of the person's last message, no first-contact messages, no broadcasts, and every account limit or pause still applies. If a thread's window has closed, the assistant tells you rather than sending.
Does it work with Facebook Pages?
Yes. list_accounts returns every connected Instagram account and Facebook Page in the workspaces you belong to, and the read tools, automations and replies work on Pages as they do on Instagram, under Messenger's 24-hour rule. Facebook Pages need a Pro plan or higher in Reachlee; the connector itself doesn't.
Which assistants can connect?
Claude (desktop and claude.ai, where custom connectors are on Claude's paid plans), ChatGPT as a custom MCP server until Reachlee is listed in its directory, Claude Code, Cursor and Gemini CLI, plus any client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP with OAuth. The Gemini web app is the exception: custom MCP servers there are limited to Gemini Spark and Gemini Enterprise accounts, so use Gemini CLI.
Are there limits on calls?
Each user can connect up to 10 apps, and each connection can make 60 read calls and 10 write calls a minute; the assistant is told to slow down if it goes over. Analytics tools share the dashboard's caches and timeouts, so a busy assistant can't slow Reachlee down for anyone else. Normal use, even a long report across many accounts, stays well inside these limits.
