The DMs that need you,
sent to your Telegram.
When Reachlee AI flags an Instagram DM or a Facebook Messenger conversation (a complaint, someone asking for a person, a question it couldn't answer), @ReachleeBot messages you who it is, why it was flagged and what they wrote, with a button that opens the conversation.
Can I get Instagram DM notifications on Telegram?
Yes, for the conversations that need you. Reachlee doesn't forward every DM, which would just repeat your Instagram notifications. It sends a Telegram message when Reachlee AI flags a conversation on Instagram or Facebook Messenger: a complaint, a request for a person, a question it couldn't answer, an AI error, or credits running out. Each alert carries the contact's name, the reason, their words and a button that opens the thread in Reachlee.
Why not just keep Instagram's notifications on?
Instagram notifies you about every message. On an account that runs comment-to-DM automations, that means hundreds of pings a day for conversations that are already handled, so most owners mute them, and then the one message that mattered (the refund request, the buyer asking for a call) sits unread until the evening. Reachlee's Telegram alerts are filtered by what actually happened in the conversation. Reachlee AI answers the routine questions from your knowledge and tells you only about the ones it couldn't or shouldn't handle, in a separate app where they don't drown in the social feed. To be clear about scope: this is an alerts channel for you, not Telegram automation for your customers. Reachlee automates Instagram and Facebook Pages; the bot never messages your contacts and doesn't read your Telegram chats.
- Alerts for: complaints, requests for a person, questions your knowledge doesn't cover, unclear messages in an ongoing conversation, AI errors and running out of AI credits.
- Never alerts for: routine questions the AI answered, greetings, emoji, spam, or DMs your automations sent.
- One flag per conversation: a second message on a flagged thread refreshes the flag rather than sending a second instant alert.
Connect it once, then forget about it
Open Settings → Integrations
The Telegram card reads "Get a message when a conversation needs you." Only the workspace owner can connect it. Click Connect Telegram; Reachlee creates a one-time link that is valid for 10 minutes and opens Telegram on a chat with @ReachleeBot.
Tap Start in the chat
Telegram shows the bot with a Start button. Tap it. The bot replies that it is connected to your workspace, and the Reachlee tab, which says "Waiting for Telegram…" meanwhile, updates by itself and shows Telegram as connected. Nothing to copy or paste.
Choose what you hear about
In Settings → Notifications, Telegram gets its own on/off switch next to email. The three groups (complaints and requests for a person, questions your AI couldn't answer, AI problems) each take Instant, Digest or Off, and quiet hours apply to every channel.
Act from the alert
Open conversation takes you to the thread in Reachlee's Inbox, where you reply as usual and the flag clears. If the AI simply didn't know the answer, Teach the AI opens the Playground on that exact message so you can save the right answer for next time.
What lands in your Telegram
The same content as the email alert, written for a phone screen, with buttons straight into Reachlee.
Who, why and their words
An instant alert is titled Needs you with your account's handle, then the contact, the reason ("A complaint or an issue", "Asked for a person or contact details", "Asked something your AI couldn't answer") and their message in quotes. You can decide from the lock screen whether it needs you now.
Buttons into the right place
Open conversation goes straight to the thread. Teach the AI appears when the gap is in your knowledge. A digest lists up to five flagged conversations, each with its own Open button, notes how many more are waiting, and adds Open Needs you for the full list in the Inbox.
One set of rules for every channel
Telegram inherits your email preferences: what to tell you about, instant or digest, quiet hours. Connecting Telegram changes where you hear about a conversation, never what. Email keeps working alongside it, and either can be switched off on its own.
Instant only when it matters
By default complaints, requests for a person and running out of credits are instant; unanswered questions and errors wait for a digest. Instant alerts go out at most once every 30 minutes per workspace; anything in between rides along in the next digest, which goes out at most every two hours.
Quiet hours and a daily cap
Quiet hours default to 22:00–08:00 in your time zone and can be changed or switched off. Alerts held overnight join the morning digest, which only lists conversations that are still open. No workspace gets more than six notifications a day, and each one goes to every channel you have switched on rather than counting twice.
Handles stay plain text
Telegram turns any @word into a link to a Telegram username, which could point at a stranger's channel. Reachlee writes Instagram and Facebook handles in a way that reads the same but never links, both in the contact's name and inside their quoted message.
Email alerts vs. Telegram alerts
| Telegram | ||
|---|---|---|
| Setup | On by default, to the workspace owner's email | Connect once in Settings → Integrations |
| What triggers it | A Needs you flag from Reachlee AI | The same flags |
| What it shows | Contact, reason, their words, buttons | Contact, reason, their words, buttons |
| Instant, digest, quiet hours | Set in Settings → Notifications | Uses the same settings |
| Turn it off | Switch in Settings → Notifications, or the unsubscribe link | The switch, /stop in the chat, Disconnect, or blocking the bot |
| Good for | A searchable record | Seeing it on your phone within minutes |
One notification goes to every channel you have switched on. The limit of six a day is per workspace, not per channel.
Who switches their alerts to Telegram
A shop owner who's on the floor all day
Instagram notifications were muted months ago because the comment automations made the phone buzz non-stop. A customer's "wrong size, how do I return this?" sat in the inbox for six hours, and the second message was much less polite.
Telegram buzzes once: Needs you, the customer's name, "A complaint or an issue" and their words. One tap on Open conversation, a reply from the phone, and the flag is gone before the second message is ever written.
An owner running several workspaces
Each brand has its own Reachlee workspace, so checking what needed a human meant opening each one in turn, usually too late in the day to call anyone back.
Each workspace is connected to the same Telegram chat, one Connect Telegram per workspace. Sending /status to the bot lists the workspaces the chat receives alerts for, and every alert's title carries the handle of the brand it's about.
A creator who doesn't answer DMs at midnight
Brand enquiries arrive overnight from other time zones. Either the phone lights up at 1 a.m. or the messages get buried under the morning's comment notifications.
Quiet hours hold everything from 22:00 to 08:00. At eight, one digest arrives with only the conversations that are still open, and the routine questions the AI handled overnight never appear in it.
Connecting Telegram is free. The alerts come from Reachlee AI.
There is no charge for Telegram alerts and no extra plan. The Telegram card is in Settings → Integrations for the workspace owner on any plan, but alerts are about conversations Reachlee AI has flagged, so you receive them once Reachlee AI is answering your DMs: Growth at $14/mo with 1,000 AI credits and everything in Pro, or Business at $29/mo with 2,500 credits, 5 team seats and 10 accounts. Flags and alerts never use credits.
Get startedTelegram alerts, answered
Will I get a Telegram message for every DM?
No, and that's deliberate. Alerts come only from Needs you flags: conversations Reachlee AI couldn't or shouldn't handle alone, such as a complaint, a request for a person, a question your knowledge doesn't cover, an AI error, or running out of credits. Routine questions the AI answered, greetings, emoji, spam and messages your automations sent never trigger an alert. A second message on a conversation that is already flagged refreshes that flag instead of sending another instant alert.
Does Reachlee automate Telegram chats with my customers?
No. Reachlee automates Instagram and Facebook Pages: comment-to-DM, keyword replies, lead capture and Reachlee AI. Telegram is only a place for Reachlee to tell you, the owner, that a conversation needs you. @ReachleeBot never writes to your contacts, and it doesn't read your Telegram chats; if you message it anything other than its commands, it replies that it only sends alerts. If you need customers to chat with you on Telegram, that's a different kind of tool.
Is my customers' data sent to Telegram?
The alert contains what you would need to act on it: the contact's name or handle, the reason the conversation was flagged and a short summary of their message. That text travels through Telegram to your private chat with the bot, so it is subject to Telegram's own terms like any message you receive there. Nothing else is sent: no contact lists, no email addresses, no message history. If you'd rather keep that content out of Telegram, leave email as your only channel.
Can teammates get the alerts too?
Alerts go to the workspace owner, who is also the only person who can connect Telegram, and each workspace connects one Telegram chat. Teammates still see every flagged conversation: the Needs you chip in the shared Inbox filters to them, and any teammate's reply clears the flag. On the Business plan, which includes 5 team seats, that is the usual split: the owner gets the alert, whoever is on shift answers.
Can I stop the alerts at night?
Yes. Quiet hours are on by default from 22:00 to 08:00 in your time zone, and you can change the times or switch them off in Settings → Notifications. During quiet hours nothing is sent on any channel. Anything that came in overnight and is still open goes out as one digest when quiet hours end; conversations you or a teammate already answered are left out.
How do I disconnect?
Four ways, all instant. Click Disconnect on the Telegram card in Settings → Integrations, which removes the connection and tells the chat it's disconnected. Switch Telegram off in Settings → Notifications, which keeps the connection but pauses alerts. Send /stop to @ReachleeBot, which pauses alerts for every workspace connected to that chat. Or block the bot in Telegram, which switches the alerts off too. Email alerts keep working in every case, and /status in the chat shows what is connected or paused.
Does it work for Facebook Pages?
Yes. When Reachlee AI answers Messenger conversations on a Facebook Page you've connected, those conversations are flagged and alerted exactly like Instagram DMs, and they open in the same Inbox. Facebook Pages are available from the Pro plan; Reachlee AI, which produces the flags, is on Growth and Business.
