Pick the trigger

Instagram lead capture, answered.

Is in-DM email capture allowed by Instagram's terms?

Yes. Instagram's terms allow you to ask users for contact info as part of a 1:1 conversation, as long as the user is replying willingly. Reachlee never pre-fills emails, never scrapes them from profiles, and only acts on user-initiated triggers (a comment, story reply, or keyword DM).

What conversion rate should I expect from in-DM capture?

30-50% in practice for warm Reel comments — meaning, of the people who comment your keyword, 30-50% complete the email-reply step. Compared to a landing-page form that gets 5-12% conversion from the same Reel traffic, that's a 3-5× lift.

What happens if someone types something other than an email?

Reachlee detects the mismatch and sends a friendly retry prompt: "That doesn't look like an email — try again?". After 2 failed attempts, the lead is saved as a partial (handle only) and you can follow up manually.

Can I capture phone or other info, not just email?

Email is the primary captured field today. Phone, business name, and custom fields are on the roadmap for early 2026. You can ask additional questions in follow-up DM steps and save the responses as conversation metadata in the meantime.

How does Sheets piping work, exactly?

On Business plan, connect a Google Sheet once via OAuth (we only access the Sheet you pick). Can I export my leads as CSV?

Yes. From the Contacts tab, click Export → CSV. Your full lead list downloads with all fields. We don't gate exports behind higher tiers — your leads are your data.

How do I prevent fake / spam emails?

Reachlee does format validation (must look like an email). For deeper deliverability checks (bounce risk, role accounts, etc.), pipe to your email tool — most ESPs do double-opt-in or bounce screening on their end before adding to your list. We don't double-charge for what your email tool already does.
