# One Comment-to-DM Automation for Multiple Posts

> Put one comment-to-DM automation on up to 10 posts or reels: one keyword, one message, one place to edit. Instagram and Facebook Pages. Pro, $9/mo.

Use case · One automation, several posts

# Five posts about the same offer?
Run them all from one automation.

Pick up to 10 specific posts or reels for one comment automation. The keyword, the message and the link work on every one of them, you change them in one place, and Retrigger catches up on all of them at once. A Pro feature for Instagram accounts and Facebook Pages.

1A comment automation can watch one post, a hand-picked set of up to 10 posts, or every post with Any post. Instagram accounts also have Next post, for the one you're about to publish.

2A hand-picked set suits a campaign spread over a few posts or reels: one keyword and one message for all of them, without firing on unrelated posts the way Any post can.

3Someone who comments on two of the posts gets the message for each, and the same post won't message them twice in a day. Pro ($9/mo) and up.

## Can one comment automation cover several posts?

Yes. In Reachlee, a comment-to-DM automation set to a specific post can hold up to 10 posts on Pro, on Instagram or on a Facebook Page. Every selected post fires the same keyword and sends the same message, and you edit them in one place. Choose Any post when every current and future post should be covered, or Next post on Instagram for the one you're about to publish.

## Four ways to decide which posts an automation watches

Before multi-post selection, a campaign that ran across several posts meant one of two compromises. You could copy the same automation five times, one per reel, and then remember to change the link in all five on launch morning; one always got missed. Or you could switch to Any post, which covers everything, including the outfit post where LINK meant a completely different thing. Several specific posts sits between the two. You choose the exact posts, up to 10, and they behave as one automation: one keyword list, one message, one set of buttons, one row in your Automations list. Everything else about comment-to-DM stays the same, from the [keyword matching](/use-cases/comment-to-dm/) to the public reply under the comment. The single-post option is still there for one-off posts, and on Free it is the only option, because Free automations watch one Instagram post each.

* Several specific posts (Pro): up to 10 posts, reels or Page posts you pick. Nothing outside the set triggers it.
* Any post (Pro): every post on the account, including posts you publish later. Best when a keyword always means the same thing.
* Next post (Pro, Instagram): sits waiting and attaches itself to the next post you publish, so the automation is live the moment the post is.

How it works

## Setting it up takes one extra click.

01

### Start a comment automation

From Automations, create one from a template such as 'Auto DM links from comments', or open an automation you already have. Multi-post selection lives in the first step of the comment builder.

02

### Pick the first post, then Add another post

Under 'a specific post or reel' (on a Facebook Page, 'a specific post'), choose the first post, then use Add another post. The picker switches to checkboxes with a running count out of 10; tick the rest and press Done.

03

### Write the keyword and the message once

The trigger card collapses to a stack of thumbnails, 'N posts selected' and the date of the latest one. Under 'And this comment has' set the keywords, then the message and link. The preview shows the first post; the same reply applies to every one.

04

### Go live and manage it as one

In the Automations list the row reads 'User comments on 3 posts or reels and comment contains…' with a +2 badge on the thumbnail; hover it to see every post. To change the link later, edit it once and press Save changes.

What changes with several posts

## One automation, with each post still counted properly.

01

### Up to 10 posts in any mix

Feed posts, carousels and reels on Instagram, or posts on a Facebook Page. The set can include older evergreen posts and this week's new ones, and you can add or remove posts later from the same picker.

02

### One edit reaches every post

Change the link, the button label or the message once and every selected post sends the new version from the next comment on. No more hunting through five near-identical automations on launch day to find the one still pointing at the old page.

03

### Repeat commenters, handled per post

A comment on a different post is treated as a new request, so someone who comments on reel one and reel three gets the message for each. A second comment on the same post within a day is skipped, and the automation's insights say why: the same person already got this DM from this post today.

04

### Silent on everything else

Unlike Any post, a hand-picked set never fires on posts outside it. That matters for accounts whose keywords overlap: LINK on a campaign reel and LINK on an unrelated outfit post can belong to two different automations, each sending its own link.

05

### Retrigger across the whole set

One [Retrigger](/use-cases/retrigger-old-posts/) run reads every selected post at once, splitting the scan per post so a busy reel can't crowd out a quiet one. Meta's 7-day window still applies per comment, and up to 200 new people per account are reached each day.

06

### On the flow canvas too

Automations built on the [flow canvas](/use-cases/instagram-flow-builder/) take several posts in their comment trigger on Pro as well, alongside keywords and a 'but not if it has' list of words that should stop it from firing. Useful when the reply needs a question, a branch or an email step before the link.

Real scenarios

## Campaigns that live on more than one post.

### A launch teased across five reels

Before

A course creator posts five teaser reels, each with its own LAUNCH automation. On launch morning four of them get the new checkout link and one still sends the waitlist page for two hours.

With Reachlee

One automation covers all five reels. The link changes once, at nine, and every reel sends the checkout page from the next comment on. Nothing to cross-check, nothing left pointing at the waitlist.

### One product, several posts

Before

A skincare seller features the same serum in a tutorial, a before-and-after and a Q&A post. Any post would also fire on the unrelated outfit post where people type LINK for her dress.

With Reachlee

She selects the three serum posts only. SERUM and LINK on those posts send the product page; the outfit post keeps its own automation with its own link.

### A Page's weekend offer across three posts

Before

A furniture store's Facebook Page puts its weekend sale on three posts on Friday night, but the owner only gets to automation on Saturday afternoon. One automation per post would mean three places to update when the sale ends.

With Reachlee

One automation covers the three Page posts. A single Retrigger run reaches Friday's and Saturday morning's PRICE commenters across all three, and on Sunday night the whole sale is paused in one click.

## Which post scope fits the campaign?

| What Retrigger reads | That post | Every selected post | The 10 most recent posts | The post once it's published |

Facebook Pages start on Pro, so every scope on a Page needs Pro or above.

FAQ

## Several posts on one automation: common questions.

How many posts can one automation cover?

Up to 10 specific posts on Pro and above. If you need more than 10, Any post covers every post on the account, including the ones you publish later, as long as your keyword means the same thing everywhere. On the Free plan each comment automation watches a single Instagram post.

What happens if someone comments on two of the posts?

They get the message for each post. A comment on a different post is a new request, often about a different angle of the same offer, so Reachlee treats it that way. What it won't do is message the same person twice for the same post within a day: a second comment on that post is skipped, and the automation's insights show the reason.

Will it fire on posts I didn't select?

No. Only comments on the posts in the set trigger it. Comments on the promoted version of a selected post count as comments on the original, so boosting one of them doesn't break the automation. If you want everything covered, Any post is the scope for that.

Can I add or remove posts after it's live?

Yes. Open the automation, use Add or remove posts in the first step, tick or untick posts up to the limit of 10, and press Save changes. The new set applies from the next comment, and the automation keeps its name, its stats and its place in your list.

Can I Retrigger all the selected posts at once?

Yes. A Retrigger run on a multi-post automation reads every selected post, newest comments first, and queues the eligible commenters oldest first. Meta's 7-day window applies to each comment, people already messaged for that post are skipped, up to 200 new people per account are reached per day, and each automation can be retriggered once every 24 hours.

[How Retrigger works](/use-cases/retrigger-old-posts/)

When is Any post the better choice?

When the keyword means the same thing on every post and you'd like future posts covered without touching the automation, for example a creator whose LINK always points at the same storefront. The trade-off is that Any post fires on every post, so keywords that mean different things on different posts belong in hand-picked sets instead.

Does it work on Facebook Pages?

Yes. A Page automation can watch one post, up to 10 specific posts or any post. Next post is Instagram only. Facebook Pages start on Pro ($9/mo), and Instagram accounts and Pages share the plan's 3 connected accounts.
