# Security at Reachlee

Reachlee automates conversations on social platforms for creators and businesses, so it handles access to their accounts and the messages their audiences send. This page summarises how we protect that data. The full commitments are in our policies below.

## How we protect your data

* **Official platform APIs only.** We connect through each platform's official APIs and authorization screens, ask only for the permissions a feature needs, and never ask for your passwords.
* **Encryption.** All data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher. Account access tokens and other credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256.
* **Secure infrastructure.** Reachlee runs on Amazon Web Services behind a content delivery network. Our databases and internal services are not reachable from the internet.
* **Verified events.** Events we receive from platforms and payment providers are checked for a valid signature before we act on them.
* **Restricted access.** Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel and protected by multi-factor authentication. Each customer's data is kept separate from every other workspace.
* **Monitoring and backups.** Our systems are monitored continuously and backed up regularly, with backups encrypted.
* **Patching and testing.** Security updates are applied promptly, dependencies are audited regularly, and we run periodic security assessments.
* **Your control.** Disconnect an account or delete your Reachlee account at any time. See our [Data Deletion](/data-deletion/) page.
