# Instagram Automation for Musicians, Bands & DJs

> Send presave, ticket and merch links to everyone who comments, build a release list in your DMs, and reach it on release day. Free to start, $9/mo Pro.

Built for musicians, bands & DJs

# "Link?" under every snippet.
Answered in seconds, from your account.

"Where can I presave?" "Tickets for Berlin?" "Is the hoodie back?" Every snippet, tour post and merch drop fills your comments with people asking for a link. Reachlee sends the right one automatically, asks for an email to grow a list you own, and keeps a release list you can message on release day, within Instagram's rules.

For artists, bands, DJs, producers and their managers · Instagram and Facebook Pages · official Meta API

1Comment LINK on a snippet and Reachlee DMs your presave or streaming link in seconds; comment a city on the tour post and the person gets that city's ticket link.

2Ask for an email inside the DM to grow a mailing list you own, and file the people who want release news in a folder for release day.

3Release-day messages follow Meta's 24-hour rule: people who messaged you recently get it straight away, everyone else the moment they next message you while the campaign is open. Free to start; Pro is $9/mo.

## The short answer

Musicians use Instagram DM automation to answer the comment that floods every post, "link?", with the right presave, ticket or merch link, and to turn those conversations into a mailing list and a release list. Reachlee does this on Meta's official API for Instagram and Facebook Pages. It reaches everyone who comments, replies to a story or sends a DM; it can't message people who never messaged you, and no compliant tool can.

## Why a release cycle breaks your inbox

A release isn't one moment; it's a run of peaks. The snippet goes up and people want the presave. Release day comes and they want the streaming link. The tour is announced and every city wants its own ticket link. The merch drops and they want the shop. Each peak produces a wave of nearly identical requests within a few hours, and Instagram puts your link in bio several taps away from the video they're watching. Typing replies isn't really the problem. The window is: someone who comments "link" while a snippet is moving through their feed and hears nothing by evening has already scrolled on to the next artist. Automation answers inside that window. And because every answer starts a real conversation, it's also the one compliant way to build a list of people you can reach again, since Meta lets you message people only after they've messaged you.

* Snippet week: presave links, sent to every commenter.
* Release day: streaming links as separate buttons, up to three per DM on Pro.
* Tour announcement: a different ticket link for each city keyword.
* Merch drop: a swipeable carousel of up to 10 items on Pro.

How it works

## From the first snippet to release day

01

### Connect your artist account

Sign in with Google and connect your Instagram professional account, Creator or Business, through Meta's own login. On Pro, add the band's Facebook Page next to it. Each connected account keeps its own automations and contacts, and you switch between them from the header.

02

### Put the presave link on a keyword

In Automations → New, pick the snippet Reel and add a keyword like LINK or PRESAVE. Write the public reply that goes under each comment and the DM with a button to your presave page. On Pro, set it to your next post so the following snippet is covered the moment it goes up.

03

### Turn requests into a release list

In the flow builder, add Ask for an email or phone after the link, which checks the address and saves it as a lead, and Add to folder to put everyone who asked into a Release list folder. The folder is on each contact, so it shows on the Contacts page and in the Inbox sidebar.

04

### Release day: send the campaign

In Campaigns, choose the Release list folder as the audience, write the out-now message with your streaming buttons, and send. Active contacts get it at once. On Pro, Keep it open holds it for up to 30 days, and everyone else in the folder receives it the moment they next message you.

05

### Tour dates: one keyword per city

On the tour announcement, add an automation for each city keyword, such as LONDON or BERLIN, each sending that city's ticket link. Reachlee only stops two live automations that would answer the same keyword on the same post, so separate city keywords on one post run side by side.

What's inside

## Built around a release cycle

Each stage of a release has its own automation, all running from your own account.

01

### Presave and streaming links on a keyword

Any word you choose fires the DM, on posts and Reels. Matching ignores case, and a public reply under each comment shows everyone else that asking works. Free covers one post at a time; Pro adds any post, next post, and up to 10 chosen posts in one automation.

02

### Up to three link buttons per DM (Pro)

Put Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube on separate buttons in one message. Each button is a tracked link, so you see which platform people actually tap, not just a total. Pro can also send direct links with tracking switched off.

03

### Ticket links per city

One keyword per city sends the right ticket link without a menu. If the same city appears across several posts, one Pro automation can cover up to 10 of them, so you don't rebuild it for every flyer.

04

### Merch carousels (Pro)

A comment like MERCH sends a swipeable row of up to 10 cards, each with a photo, a name, a price line and up to three buttons. Clicks are tracked per product, so you can see which item people want before you reorder stock.

05

### Story replies and mentions (Instagram)

When someone replies to your out-now story, they get the streaming link. When someone tags you in their own story, for example sharing your track, Reachlee can send a thank-you DM. Story automations are Instagram-only, because Meta sends no story events for Pages.

06

### A release list you can actually reach

Contacts carry a status: Active (messaged you in the last 24 hours), Inactive, Pending (never messaged) and Opted out. Campaigns reach Active contacts immediately and, while a campaign is kept open on Pro, Inactive ones when they return. Pending and Opted out contacts are never messaged.

Real scenarios

## A release, before and after

### Snippet week

Before

The snippet takes off and the comments are a wall of "link?". You reply to the first few, pin a comment that most people never read, and the rest assume the song isn't out yet.

With Reachlee

Everyone who comments LINK gets the presave in their DMs within seconds. Anyone who leaves an email lands in the Release list folder, ready for release day.

### The tour announcement

Before

"Are you coming to my city?" arrives from every direction. You answer the cities you notice and the ticket links get lost in long threads.

With Reachlee

Each city keyword sends that city's ticket link. Or one TOUR keyword asks which city, with a tap answer per date, and anyone who types a city you're not playing goes into a Next tour folder you can message when they're reachable again.

### Release day

Before

You post "out now" and hope the feed shows it to the people who asked for the presave weeks ago.

With Reachlee

The campaign goes to the Release list. Active contacts get the streaming buttons at once, the rest when they next message you, and the out-now story answers every reply with the link.

✦ Reachlee AI

## What Reachlee AI handles for artists

On Growth ($14/mo) AI replies answer the questions that aren't a keyword, from what you write down. They never invent a date, a price or a link.

01

### "When are you playing near me?"

Add your tour page as a knowledge source and the AI answers from it, in the sender's language. When dates change, re-scan the page. If a city isn't on the list, it says so instead of inventing a show.

02

### "Do you play private events or festivals?"

If your knowledge includes a booking contact, the AI shares it. If not, or if someone asks to talk to your team, the conversation is flagged Needs you so you or your manager can reply.

03

### "Can I use your track in my video?"

Write down how you handle licence requests and the AI points people there. It's set not to give legal advice, so anything beyond your written policy is left for a person.

Pricing

## What an artist needs, stage by stage

Free covers one Instagram account, 1,000 DMs a month, 100 active contacts and 10 leads, which is enough to test a presave automation on one snippet. A release with a real list needs Pro ($9/mo): unlimited DMs, contacts and leads, up to three link buttons per DM, merch carousels, next-post and multi-post triggers, Retrigger, scheduled campaigns with Keep it open, and your Facebook Page. Growth ($14/mo) adds Reachlee AI for tour and booking questions. Business ($29/mo) adds 5 team seats for a manager or label team, 10 accounts and Google Sheets.

FAQ

## Questions artists ask before they set this up

Can I DM everyone who follows me when the song drops?

No — no tool on Meta's official API can do that. Instagram and Messenger let an account message someone only within 24 hours of that person's last message. Reachlee's campaigns respect that: Active contacts receive the release-day message at once, Inactive ones get it the moment they next message you while the campaign is kept open (up to 30 days on Pro), and people who never messaged you are never contacted. The practical answer is to make release day a conversation starter: a story or a post with a comment keyword, which reaches everyone who responds.

Will people know the reply is automated?

The DM comes from your own account, in your words, with their first name filled in. On paid plans there's no Reachlee branding at all. The Free plan adds one small "Automated with" note per contact and a branded page when someone taps a link, which Pro removes. In practice a link that arrives while someone is still watching your video reads as attentive, not robotic.

Can different cities get different ticket links?

Yes. Create one automation per city keyword on the tour announcement, each with its own ticket link. Reachlee only blocks two live automations that would answer the same keyword on the same post, so LONDON and BERLIN can live side by side. On Pro, a single automation can also cover up to 10 posts, which helps when you announce each city on its own flyer.

Will any presave or ticket service work?

Any link that opens in a browser works as a button. Reachlee wraps buttons in tracked short links so you can see clicks per button; on Pro you can switch tracking off and send the direct link instead. Buttons show in the Instagram and Messenger apps; on instagram.com they appear as plain text, which is why it's worth testing from your phone.

Is this allowed? Could Instagram flag my account?

Reachlee runs only on Meta's official API as a Meta-verified Tech Provider, so there's no password sharing and nothing scraping your account. It answers people who engaged first, sends one private reply per comment as Instagram allows, stays inside the 24-hour window, paces sends, and pauses automatically if Meta signals a rate limit. Restrictions happen to accounts that run unofficial bots that follow, like or message strangers in bulk.

Does it work on our Facebook Page?

Yes, from Pro. A Facebook Page gets comment-to-Messenger, keyword replies, ice breakers, email capture, merch carousels, follow-ups and Retrigger, plus Reachlee AI on Growth, in the same dashboard as your Instagram. Story triggers and the follow check are Instagram only, because Meta doesn't offer them for Pages.

Can my manager or label team help run it?

On Business ($29/mo) the workspace has 5 seats: the owner plus four invited teammates, who all work in the same automations, Inbox and contacts. Pro is a single seat. Business also connects up to 10 accounts, which suits a manager looking after several artists, and adds Google Sheets so every email you collect lands in a sheet.
