# Campaigns

Send a DM sequence to a group of your contacts, from picking the audience to reading the results.

Automations reply when someone comments or messages you. **Campaigns** start the conversation: you pick who gets it and build the sequence of DMs on a canvas.

In **Campaigns → New campaign**, start from a template or a blank canvas, then choose the audience in the left pane: **all contacts**, specific **folders or segments**, or people you hand-picked on the Contacts page. "Don't send to" excludes folders or segments.

Every card on the canvas is one step. Click a card's text to edit it in place; use **Add next step** under a branch to continue the flow. Steps you can use:

* **Send message** with up to three buttons that open a link or continue the flow.
* **Ask a question** with quick-reply answers that branch the flow and are saved against the contact. With _Understand typed replies_ on, Reachlee AI maps a free-text answer to one of your options.
* **Ask for an email or phone**, saved to the contact, with one retry if the reply isn't one.
* **Send a link** with a tracked button; branch on _Clicked_ or _Not clicked after_ a delay.
* **Send a photo, video or voice note**, or **share one of your posts**.
* **Like their message**, **wait for a reply**, **wait** a fixed time, **add to a folder**, **opt out**.
* **Ask for a follow**: people who already follow you skip it; everyone else gets the ask and the follow is checked when they say they did.
* **Contact filter** and **A/B split** to branch, and **Reachlee AI** steps: a yes/no judgement about the person, a message written from your knowledge base, or handing the chat over to Reachlee AI.
* **Email me** when someone reaches a step, and **Add to Google Sheet**.

### [Send or schedule](#send-or-schedule)Copy Anchor Link

**Send campaign** sends now; the arrow next to it schedules a time. Meta only lets a business DM someone within 24 hours of that person's last message, so people reachable right now get it immediately and the rest get it when they next message you, for as long as you **keep the campaign open**. **Skip recently reached** leaves out anyone another campaign messaged in the last few hours, and **Stop on reply** ends someone's sequence as soon as they answer.

### [Test it first](#test-it-first)Copy Anchor Link

Open **Preview**, switch to **Test**, and send the whole sequence to one reachable contact (your own account works well). Test sends don't count in results.

### [Read the results](#read-the-results)Copy Anchor Link

The campaign's **Results** page shows who was reachable, who started, replied and clicked, every recipient's current step, and the **Answers** tab with everything your questions collected, downloadable as CSV.

## [Good to know](#good-to-know)Copy Anchor Link

* A person opted out of your messages is never included.
* Buttons and quick replies render in the Instagram app; on instagram.com people see plain text, so typing a button's label works like tapping it.
* Deleting a campaign that is still sending isn't allowed; stop it first. On the list you can select several campaigns to move, stop or delete them together.
