# Tools reference

Every tool the Reachlee AI connector exposes, what it does, the permission it needs and its inputs.

Your assistant chooses tools from this list based on what you ask. You never call them by name, but knowing what exists helps you ask for the right thing. Each tool needs one of three permissions you grant at sign-in: **read**, **manage** or **send**.

## [Common inputs](#common-inputs)Copy Anchor Link

* **range** — `24h`, `7d` (default), `30d`, `90d`, `mtd` (this month) or `all`. Free workspaces are capped at 30 days.
* **account** — `@handle`, the display name or the id. Omit it to cover every account you can see. With exactly one connected account it is implied.
* **metric** — `ctr` (default), `dms`, `clicks`, `people` or `comments`.

**CTR** everywhere in Reachlee means unique people who clicked divided by unique people who entered the flow, so one person tapping three times still counts once.

### [list\_accounts](#list%5Faccounts)Copy Anchor Link

No inputs. Returns each workspace with its plan, your role, and each connected account with channel, status and followers with the 30-day change. Ask it first when you have several accounts so the assistant can name them.

### [get\_overview](#get%5Foverview)Copy Anchor Link

Inputs: `range`, `account`. Headline numbers for the whole workspace and per account. Example: "How did I do in the last 30 days?"

### [rank\_posts](#rank%5Fposts)Copy Anchor Link

Inputs: `range`, `metric`, `account`, `limit` (1 to 25, default 10). Each row has the post caption and link, people reached, comments replied, DMs sent, clicks, unique clickers and CTR, plus which automations fired on it. Posts with fewer than three people are left out of CTR rankings. Per-post data exists from 2 October 2026.

### [rank\_automations](#rank%5Fautomations)Copy Anchor Link

Inputs: `range`, `metric`, `account`, `limit` (1 to 50). Adds triggers, succeeded and skipped counts and the most common skip reason, which is the fastest way to answer "why is this one not sending".

### [list\_automations and get\_automation](#list%5Fautomations-and-get%5Fautomation)Copy Anchor Link

`list_automations` takes `account` and `status` (`live`, `paused`, `draft`). `get_automation` takes `automation_id` and returns the messages, links, keywords, posts, lifetime stats and 14-day insights.

### [list\_conversations and get\_conversation](#list%5Fconversations-and-get%5Fconversation)Copy Anchor Link

`list_conversations` takes `account`, `unread_only`, `since_hours`, `search` and `limit` (up to 50). `get_conversation` takes `conversation_id` and `limit` and tells you whether the 24-hour reply window is open and until when.

### [list\_leads](#list%5Fleads)Copy Anchor Link

Inputs: `account`, `search`, `limit` (up to 100), `offset`. Returns handle, name, email, phone, account and last activity. Export happens in Reachlee under Contacts or through the Google Sheets integration.

## [Managing](#managing)Copy Anchor Link

### [create\_automation](#create%5Fautomation)Copy Anchor Link

Inputs: `account`, `post`, `keywords`, `message`, `link_url`, `link_label`, `opening_message`, `opening_button`, `public_reply`, `ask_for_follow`, `name`, `publish`.

* `post` accepts `latest`, an Instagram post or reel link, a media id, `any` (every post, Pro) or `next` (your next post, Pro).
* `message` is the DM that carries the link. With `link_url` set, people first get an opening DM with a button, then the link.
* `publish` defaults to true. Pass false to save a draft.

Pro-only options such as any-post, several posts or ask-for-follow return a clear error on Free, exactly like the builder.

### [update\_automation](#update%5Fautomation)Copy Anchor Link

Inputs: `automation_id` plus any of `keywords`, `message`, `opening_message`, `link_url`, `link_label`, `public_reply` (pass an empty string to turn it off), `media_ids` (full replacement list) and `name`. Only the fields you pass change.

### [set\_automation\_status](#set%5Fautomation%5Fstatus)Copy Anchor Link

Inputs: `automation_id`, `status` (`live` or `paused`). Resuming a draft publishes it.

### [retrigger](#retrigger)Copy Anchor Link

Inputs: `automation_id`, `confirm`. The first call previews how many past commenters are eligible. Nothing is sent until the assistant calls it again with `confirm` after you agree. Pro feature; Reachlee paces the sends within Instagram's limits.

## [Sending](#sending)Copy Anchor Link

### [reply\_to\_conversation](#reply%5Fto%5Fconversation)Copy Anchor Link

Inputs: `conversation_id`, `message`, `confirm`. Works only while Instagram's 24-hour window is open for that person. The first call returns a preview with the recipient, the message and when the window closes; the reply is sent only on a second call with `confirm`. There is no tool to message someone who has not written first.
